Welcome to the AET 2010 Annual Conference!
We are delighted that you are either joining us or are still considering to join us for our very first fall conference, to be held at Montreat Conference Center, near Asheville, North Carolina. During your visit, the Blue Ridge Mountains will be bursting with autumn color and gracing our conference as we renew and re-source through and with our community.
As we explore 3-Centered Knowing, this year's conference theme, we will welcome participants from the Enneagram Intensive. Although each group will engage its own agenda, there will be a few innovative points of intersection. In weaving these two, our hope is to expand the Enneagram community and offer hospitality to people new to the Narrative Tradition.
The planning committee sees this as an unprecedented, win-win opportunity for us all.
CEU hours (22.50) are available for this conference. For more information or to sign-up now, please email Gretchen Marks in the AET office.

Travel
Fly into Asheville (AVL) airport on Delta or US Air. You can rent a car at the airport or take ground transportation shuttle to Montreat Conference Center. Cost is $65.00 for one person, $45.00 for two, or $25.00 for three or more. It's about a 45-minute ride to Montreat. Call 828 681 0051 to reserve a shuttle. (They will want your flight arrival time and flight number.)
You may consider flying into the Greenville Spartanburg airport or the Charlotte airport and driving to Montreat. Both of these airports are approximately 1.5 hours from Montreat.
Emergency phone number where you can be reached at Montreat is: 800 572 2257, ext. 300. The local phone number is 828 669 2911.
Pre-and Post Conference Lodging Information
If you wish to visit the Asheville area before or after the Conference, we suggest the following lodging: Sleep Inn beside the Double Tree Hotel in Biltmore (828 277 1800) approx $85.00 per night; the Double Tree Hotelin Biltmore, 828 274 1800 (approximately $115.00/night); Grove Park Inn, 828 252 2700 (approximately $150.00/night) on the high end and an exquisite place to stay. You may also want to go online and check out the Bed and Breakfast Inns in Asheville. Because this time is during "leaf season," Asheville lodging tends to book up early. Plan lodging reservations well in advance.
Weather
Weather during the fall varies from year to year and is a bit difficult to predict. We can have snow in late October/early November and/or the daytime weather could be in the 60s. By that time of year, the temps fall into the 40s and sometimes 30s at night. Best to check the weather channel or NOAA before you head to western North Carolina, and bring some layers just in case.
In anticipation of rich learning and delightful relating,
