Meet DEVOTION

If you attended the 2007 AET Conference in Colorado Springs, you already know of the masterful, delightful and extraordinary musical experience that lies ahead with DEVOTION.

A two-person musical duo, DEVOTION is Robert Anderson and Lori Sandstrom. Based in Colorado, these two inspiring, dynamic vocalists have made it their life’s work to create music that revives the spirit, lifts the heart and captures the imagination.

Robert, an award-winning songwriter including countless jingles, television shows and a number-one single, has made it his full-time passion to write, sing and perform music with Lori that he refers to as, “World Positive.”

“Our music is the kind of music that speaks to me,” Robert says. Playing the guitar and writing songs since the age of 13, Robert found his keen study of human behavior a key element behind his song’s successes. “Our music includes really simple ideas but ones that hit home and make people think – and LAUGH TOO,” Robert says.

Lori, having grown up in a musical family and singing from the age of 3, is a graduate of the International Peacemaker Institute. “Learning comes in so many forms,” Lori says. “Reaching people through music is a tremendously fulfilling and powerful opportunity.” Now focusing their careers on performing in more spiritually oriented, community-based settings, Robert and Lori comment on how life-changing their work has been for them. With each impression they make, with each song that touches someone’s heart, they feel that they make a difference, and that difference continues to return to them tenfold.

“As we’ve matured spiritually and along our own path, we have found our music to be an avenue to express and put a voice to spiritual work,” Lori says. “It is intensely unifying and connecting.”

Robert, an Enneagram Type Five, and Lori, Type Two, are recent graduates along with David Roche of the one-week Enneagram Intensive held this past January. “We are Enneagram people,” comments Lori, “…and so enjoyed performing at last year’s conference to such a friendly and open community. We really felt at home!”
